About Burbs Blurbs
Honoring Gunner's brave journey. Sharing knowledge. Raising awareness.
This project was created to honor the life and legacy of our beloved dog Gunner, who lived for nearly three years after his liver tumors were detected. Although his pathology report was inconclusive, hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) was considered the most likely cause, and his care was guided accordingly.

Why the Name
The name comes from Gunner's ever-evolving nicknames: Gunner → Turbo → Turbs → Burbs. “Burbs Blurbs” reflects his playful, witty personality, and the site carries that same warmth and lightheartedness into a topic that can feel overwhelming.

Gunner
Inspiration & Legacy
Gunner is the reason Burbs Blurbs exists.
After saying goodbye, we were left with a deep desire to educate and spread awareness about canine hepatocellular carcinoma. This site is part of Gunner's legacy – a way to honor his life and keep his memory alive by helping other guardians better understand this disease, and by supporting veterinarians in educating their clients.
Though Gunner is no longer with us, he remains at the heart of everything we do. His memory continues to guide this project.
Forever loved. Forever remembered.
We welcome feedback, suggestions for additional resources, or stories from other dog owners to help expand this site's resource hub.
